As we approach the end of the first year of the COVID 19 Pandemic, many people are seeking easy ways to boost their immune system  naturally.  And for many, they want to follow a natural path to doing so.  The issue of COVID 19 vaccinations is rife with concerns regarding efficacy, how pharmaceutical corporations will profit, distribution of the vaccine, consumer costs, etc., ad infinitum.  As these controversies continue, ask yourself this question: “What easy ways can I boost my immune system naturally?”

In the United States, this past presidential election was also as extremely controversial.  One of the most contentious issues is our non-functioning and broken healthcare system. The “healthcare” (read, “sick-care”) system of the United States is in its own crisis.  We as individuals cannot wait for it to “get fixed.” We need to become our own personal healthcare systems — now!

Our bodies are naturally designed to fight off pathogens and maintain balance and healthWhat can you do to boost your immune system naturally? Below are 3 easy steps

3 Easy Ways to Boost Your Immune System Naturally:

  • Prioritize Your Obligations

One of ways we leak much of body’s energy (that could be better used to fight hostile pathogens and viruses) is by overworking ourselves.  We do this in our personal life, in our work life, with unrealistic goals and trying to conform to the medias hype of what our “ideal life” is supposed to be.  This is one of the main points I address in my online video course, “Qigong for Peak Business Performance.”  We need to radically prioritize our daily obligations so we give our minds and bodies a chance to build their inner strength.

Cutting our “to do” list in half, refusing to fall into the trap of “multi-tasking,” and honoring the limited amount of time we have in our brief lives is an easy way to boost our immune system.  A principle of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is to not waste our “Qi,” or our intrinsic life energy.  We maintain that treasure to fight viruses, pathogens, disease, etc. to stay healthy and alive. We do not waste it running after the wind.  Prioritize your obligations to save your precious life energy so it can keep your immune system strong.

  • Do 10 Minutes of Qigong 5 Days a Week

We need to move our bodies and do diaphragmatic breathing to stay healthy.  If we cease to move, we die. If we cease to breath, we die.  Movement and breath are key signs of being alive.  If we boost those “vital signs” we boost our immune system effectiveness.

Many Auto-Immune disorders (Multiple Sclerosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Scleroderma, etc.)  are connected with excessive exposure to stress. Qigong has been proven clinically to reduce stress.  Reducing stress increases our immune system’s ability to stay vibrant and fight off viruses.  In my recent YouTube video on my Channel, “Download Qi,” I demonstrate one key move from my favorite Qigong sets, “Immunity Booster Set.”

Check out my new online Qigong classes on Moxie.xyz where I will be providing Immunity Boosting Qigong sessions on a weekly basis.  Qigong takes very little time and no special clothing.  Just show up with your lungs and enough space to move your arms.  Qigong can be adapted to any mobility level.  It’s a very easy way to naturally boost your immune system.

  • Slow Down and Sleep More (and Deeper)

Clinical Studies have proven that there is a profound connection between good sleep and the healthy functioning of our immune system.  In my work in training Business Leaders in Peak Performance via Qigong, I often here them say, “I am too busy for that. I will get enough sleep when I am dead and in a grave.”  That attitude and personal policy is a self-fulfilling prophesy.

Sleeping at least 8 hours a night, with no electronic devices to disrupt our rest is vital.  The body while sleeping, goes into a deep repair mode.  It’s like running an anti-virus program while your computer is shut down — literally, your body’s immune system kicks into high gear when we get uninterrupted sleep.  While new parents, firefighters, nurses on night shifts, etc. will not be in a position to get good uninterrupted sleep consistently, the rest of us have no excuse.

The Catch-22 is that the more stressed we are, the less easy it is to get a good night sleep.  Put away (in another room) electronic devices.  Do not read in bed, study or work in bed, or do anything in bed (except sex) besides sleep.  Then, your bed becomes a ritual sanctuary for deep rest. If you have problems with insomnia, check out my recent YouTube video of the same title of this article. There, I demonstrate an easy Qigong move that can help alleviate your insomnia. The bottom line is prioritize your sleep if you want to boost your immune system.

Make a commitment this Season to take your own steps to naturally boost your immune system.  Waiting for Santa Claus, or government policies, or even your medical insurance (if you are lucky enough to have it) to “save you” is too late.  Take responsibility to protect and guard your most precious commodity — your health.  As the sage Rabbi Hillel reminds us, “If I am not for myself, who will be for me?”
